The School of Law offers a Certificate Program in Intellectual Property and Technology Law, which permits students in the three-year JD program to concentrate their studies during their second and third years on coursework in the intellectual property law (including patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret law) and technology law areas. Students register for the program at the conclusion of their first year of law school. They must complete a set of required and elective courses, with a minimum grade point average, in order to receive the Certificate.
